Анализируются основные группы факторов, препятствующих успешной адаптации ребёнка к школе: социально коммуникативные, психолого-поведенческие, сенсорные, институционально профессиональные и семейные. Обосновывается роль адаптивной физической культуры как комплексного инструмента, оказывающего системное воздействие на двигательную, познавательную, социально коммуникативную и эмоционально волевую сферы ребёнка.
