в статье рассматриваются вопросы, связанные с добычей редкоземельных ресурсов. Отмечается, что редкоземельные элементы позволяют создавать устройства с меньшим энергопотреблением и повышают технологическую эффективность. Отдельно замечается, что арктический регион стал важнейшей ареной геополитического соперничества из-за обилия природных ресурсов и недавно открывшихся новых судоходных путей. Кроме того, потепление в Арктике нарушает геохимические циклы, которые исторически регулировали распределение редкоземельных элементов. Таким образом, из-за изменения климата Арктика превратилась в «глобальную арену», на которой обостряется геополитическая конкуренция за стратегические ресурсы.
