Показано, что наличие данного феномена в коммуникации между сотрудниками способствует ухудшению социально-психологического климата, что в свою очередь может отрицательно влиять на функционирование организации в целом. Сотрудники, которых фаббируют руководители, ощущают большую социальную дистанцию, у них появляются недоверие и низкие показатели в работе. Выявлено, что босс-фаббинг препятствует установлению эффективных взаимоотношений с подчиненными.
