Рассматриваются ключевые контексты, прежде всего ситуации, связанные с расширением функционала и ответственности руководителя. Особое внимание уделяется эмпирическим данным об эффективности коучинга, а также анализу механизмов его влияния на процесс принятия решений и сравнению с альтернативными подходами к развитию руководителей. В ходе обзора определена актуальность тематики и понимание, что при наличии обширной эмпирической базы в международных исследованиях, в российской научной практике данные об эффективности управленческого коучинга практически отсутствуют.
