the work is aimed at resolving the question: «How is «human metaphysics» possible?» The necessity of establishing an independent disciplinary status of this branch of metaphysics is substantiated. The contradictory constitution of its objectivity is shown: the subject is given through the metaphysical effort of man; the method is essentially identical to the subject. Human metaphysics acts as a process of realization of the metaphysical essence of man and at the same time as a reflection of this process, the theory of metaphysics. The following are distinguished as the basis of the theory of human metaphysics: the idea of the metaphysical essence of man and the idea of man as the ontological basis of existence. They form respectively two main trends of «human metaphysics»: philosophical-anthropological and ontological. In addition to them, epistemological, socio-philosophical, ethical trends were identified; the development of the last two of them is most in demand today.
