the article analyzes the essence of informatization as the most important factor of all-round scientific and technological progress, defines the ways of development in new conditions and the peculiarities of reforming social relations and the management system. Informatization is viewed as the development of the information infrastructure of society, ensuring the use of information as a national resource.
