Abstract

В статье рассматривается целесообразность применения элементов анализа дискурса на занятиях по английскому языку со студентами неязыковых вузов. Автор делает обзор научных взглядов на понятие дискурса, перечисляет различные определения данного явления, описывает практикуемый в отечественных языковых вузах анализ текста на основе функциональных стилей английского языка и приводит аргументы в пользу включения дискурс-анализа в программу обучения английскому языку для студентов неязыковых специальностей.
