L.I. Brezhnev: frontline biography of a statesman
Annotation
the article reveals the material about the activity of Marshal of the Soviet Union, General Secretary of the CPSU Central Committee Leonid Brezhnev during the Great Patriotic War. Analysing the front path of the Soviet statesman and assessing his contribution to the great victory, we consider him through the prism of military awards received in the period 1941–1945. At the same time, without considering the orders and medals of the post-war time, we consider it necessary to analyse the historical aspect related to the awarding of Marshal Leonid Brezhnev with the Order «Victory».
