the chapter is devoted to the study of river ice formation factors and determination of their parameters in natural conditions. Hydrodynamic pressure in ice hillocks affects the stability of structures. The authors consider the modes of frost formation, establish the processes of intensive formation of ice in the upper and lower parts of the stream, and propose calculation dependences for practical application.
