Abstract. The article examines theoretical and practical aspects of defining the object of copyright in modern legislation. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of qualifying features that allow distinguishing objects of copyright from other results of intellectual activity.
The author explores various scientific approaches to the concept of the object of copyright, analyzes the legal nature and essential characteristics of such objects.
