The article reveals the features of studying V. V. Mayakovsky's poem "A Good Attitude Towards Horses" in the school literature course. The focus is on the key themes of the work: compassion for a living creature, the confrontation with the cruelty of an indifferent crowd, and the healing power of human words and participation. The article examines the linguistic means used in the text. Special attention is given to the image of the lyrical hero, who is not just an observer but also an active participant in the events, whose empathy becomes a source of salvation.
