This article analyzes the role of digital activism in contemporary information warfare. It also examines the methods and practices characteristic of the Anonymous movement. A classification of digital hacktivism and its methods are presented. An analysis of Anonymous's experience allows us to understand how collective interaction in the digital environment is becoming a means of cyberresistance and reflects contemporary trends in information conflicts.
