this article examines the impact of modernization processes on the material culture of the Karachay people, which have unfolded in Russia in recent times. Using fieldwork, this study examines the preservation of traditional elements and the introduction of innovations in the housing, clothing, and food of the Karachay people. The study utilized a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach and specialized methods (observation and interviews).
