The paper presents the results of a study on the physicochemical properties of water and their role in natural and biological systems. An analysis of the water molecule structure was carried out, and its key characteristics — high heat capacity and selective dissolving power — were demonstrated experimentally. The significance of these properties for stabilizing the environment and supporting vital functions was also assessed.
