- The chapter addresses the relevant issue of developing professionally oriented speech among university students within the system of higher professional education. It examines the specific features of teaching Russian as a non-native or second language in institutions where instruction is tailored to a particular field of specialization. The paper analyzes methods and techniques that contribute to the development of speech skills essential for students' future professional activities across various areas of training. Special attention is given to the selection of thematic and lexical material that reflects real-life communicative situations in the professional domain, as well as to the role of interdisciplinary integration and communicative technologies. The importance of active verbal interaction between teachers and students is emphasized, along with the use of case methods, project-based learning, and business games.
