    Abstract:
    The article examines the economic efficiency of programs aimed at reducing alcohol and tobacco consumption in the Chuvash Republic. It evaluates the costs and results, analyzes the indicators of the region and the health status of its population after the introduction of measures to reduce the consumption of alcohol and tobacco products. The article concludes by emphasizing the need for further research in this area to optimize financial resources and increase the effectiveness of preventive measures.

    Abstract:
    People suffering from alcohol addiction do not always think about the negative consequences of their addiction. This has not only a negative impact on the health and well-being of the person who abuses alcohol, but also a negative impact on family, friends and other close people. Domestic violence and alcohol abuse are two key public health issues worldwide. In addition to their high prevalence, both of these phenomena lead to significant negative biological, psychological, and sociological consequences for individuals and the general population. A person suffering from alcohol addiction may try to protect his family from the consequences of alcohol abuse by distancing himself from it. Unfortunately, isolation does little to protect family members from the financial and emotional consequences of alcoholism. Neglect can also have a negative impact on loved ones.
