- Abstract:
- Contextual biology problems are becoming increasingly relevant in the methodology of teaching biology. These problems involve specific life situations that are related to the students' existing knowledge and experience.
The need to develop the skills to solve these problems is dictated by the content of the EGE, OGE, and VPR assessment procedures, as well as the "21st-century skills," which include critical thinking and problem-solving, reasoning, analysis, interpretation, and generalization of information, collaboration, including online collaboration, independent work and self-control, research skills and methods, and more.
In the article, the author summarizes the experience of working with contextual biological tasks in the form of main directions, provides examples, and methodological recommendations.
