- The article reveals the importance of studying the geopolitical structure of the world in the school geography course of secondary school. The authors consider the changes in the content of knowledge about the geopolitical structure of the world from the study of the world around us course to the updated Federal State Educational Standard for Basic Level Geography. The authors reveal the importance of geopolitical knowledge in shaping the worldview of graduates, as well as in preparing for the Unified State Exam in Geography.
