- The article examines contemporary approaches to teaching medical students an inquiry dialogue within the framework of history taking. It provides a description and analysis of both traditional and innovative methods of developing professional communication skills, including simulation-based learning, the use of standardized patients, mobile video technologies and the scenario-strategic approach. Special attention is given to the integration of various educational strategies in accordance with instructional goals, students’ proficiency levels, and the specifics of clinical tasks. It is proved that a comprehensive approach to teaching contributes not only to the formation of linguistic and communicative competences but also to the development of critical thinking, professional motivation and the readiness of future physicians for real clinical practice.
