    Abstract:
    Abstract: the article provides an overview of the important aspects of the system of theoretical and practical training for employees of internal affairs bodies within the framework of the specified discipline. The methodological aspects of developing the basic linguistic competencies of students are analysed, including the mastery of the norms of the modern Russian language and speech stylistics. Special attention is paid to the practical component of the training, which is aimed at developing the skills to compile texts in the official‑business style of speech.
