- The course «Linguistic and Regional Studies» requires the use of visual aids to alleviate the difficulties of memorizing text in a foreign language. To this end, authors of textbooks on linguistic and regional studies use images of museum objects: sculptures, currency, symbols of power, costumes, and paintings. Museum objects are often used in teaching linguistic and regional studies due to their expressiveness and volume of information. An analysis of linguistic and regional studies textbooks revealed that paintings are clearly the most popular among them, as they contribute significantly to the development of speech skills in a foreign language.
