- In the 21st century, mobile phones have become an integral part of human interaction with the digital environment. The development of Android and iOS has led to the emergence of two main approaches to mobile software development: native and cross-platform. Each has its own characteristics that determine development speed, performance, and the quality of user experience. The choice of approach determines not only companies' costs but also the ability of services to meet user requirements. The purpose of this article is to examine native and cross-platform development, identify their advantages and disadvantages, and assess the impact of the chosen approach on the long-term support of mobile applications.
