    Abstract:
    This article examines the relationship between the semantic meaning of color and religious identity from a cultural studies perspective. The aim of the study is to identify the specifics of color associations using Orthodox Christians and atheists as examples. The study utilizes the Religious Commitment Inventory (RCI-10), the Questionnaire on Color Semantics in Religious Context (QCS-RC), and Yu. V. Shcherbatykh's Test of the Structure of Individual Religiosity. The results confirm that color symbolism acts as a stable marker of an individual's cultural code, influencing self-identification processes. The findings can be used in psychological and pedagogical support for the development of interreligious dialogue in the educational environment.

    В данной статье рассмотрены основные цветовые предпочтения народов Поволжья в традиционном костюме, связанные с культурными традициями и архаическими представлениями о цветовой символике. В работе выявлены общие закономерности в использовании базовых цветов различными этносами обозначенной территории.
