  • Problems and prospects for the development of the Far North territories in Russia

    Abstract:
    This article identifies pressing development issues in the Far North and explores potential solutions. The study focuses on the Magadan and Murmansk regions, as well as Kamchatka Krai. It identifies a declining contribution of Far North regions to the total GRP, unstable dynamics in the share of mineral extraction in total industrial output, and a growing labor shortage. Other relevant issues include deterioration of public utility infrastructure, an underdeveloped transportation network, and a lack of diversification of development models. Promising avenues for addressing these issues and accelerating the socioeconomic development of the selected Far North regions are proposed.

    Автор статьи считает, что знания экономических теорий миграции населения способствуют формированию государственной политики трудовой миграции и инвестирования в будущее развитие экономики страны. Автор пришел к выводу, что государствам поставщикам трудовых мигрантов, с учетом происходящих изменений занятости населения по сферам экономики развитых стран, следует профессионально готовить потенциальных трудовых мигрантов к будущей работе в развитых странах.
