    He requirements for the quality of education and the assimilation of material by schoolchildren are increasing every year, and the computer format of the unified state exam entails the possession of students, not only the subject area, but also the tools of the IT industry. The article substantiates the influence of the levels of development of critical thinking of students on the quality of preparation and the effectiveness of passing the Unified State Exam. Indicators, levels and tasks for the development of critical thinking are highlighted.

    Abstract:
    The material of the presented chapter reveals issues related to the creation of conditions for successful work with gifted children, including the basis of modeling, highlights methods for enhancing creativity, modern approaches to the elaboration of special development programs for teaching gifted children, and also describes pedagogical technologies for working with gifted children, among which is the innovative SRH-technology developed at the Department of Pedagogy and Modern Educational Technologies of the Moscow Region State University. The data presented by the authors can influence the optimization of education for gifted children.

    Abstract:
    В статье доказывается актуальность и важность развития критического мышления современных школьников. Выдвинута гипотеза о том, что критическое мышление можно развивать в процессе обучения английскому языку, а наиболее эффективными методами развития критического мышления в процессе обучения английскому языку являются: метод мозгового штурма, метод «ромашки вопросов», метод «шесть шляп мышления». Методологическую основу исследования составляют личностно-деятельностный, компетентностный, профессионально-ориентированный и коммуникативно-когнитивный подходы к обучению иностранным языкам. В исследовании были использованы теоретический анализ психолого-педагогической литературы по проблеме развития критического мышления, эмпирические методы: наблюдение, беседа, психодиагностические методы – методика «тест-опросник» Ю.Ф. Гущина и И.И. Ильясова, формирующий метод: использование на уроках английского языка таких методов развития критического мышления, как метод «мозговой штурм», метод «ромашка вопросов», метод «шесть шляп мышления», методы количественного и качественного анализа результатов исследования. Результаты исследования показали, что после проведения с экспериментальной группой программы для развития критического мышления на уроках английского языка показатели сформированности критического мышления стали выше, чем до использования представленных методических приёмов. Сравнительный анализ результатов исследования критического мышления школьников в экспериментальной группе до и после формирующего эксперимента с использованием теста-опросника Ю.Ф. Гущина и И.И. Ильясова полученных данных показал, что существует существенная разница в уровне развития критического мышления учащихся до и после использования методик, способствующих развитию критического мышления. В статье доказано, что в результате использования таких методик, как «мозговой штурм», «ромашка вопросов» Блума и «шесть шляп мышления» Эдварда де Боно на уроках английского языка, критическое мышление подростков развивается, развиваются способности к нестандартному мышлению и поиску нового, необычного подхода к поставленным задачам.

Рассмотрение новых форм работы осуществляется на примере учебного курса «Развитие лидерского потенциала руководителя», предназначенного для студентов высших учебных заведений, обучающихся по специальности «Политология». Среди успешно зарекомендовавших себя форм и методов работы следует выделить групповую дискуссию, работу в малых группах, мозговой штурм, метод анализа ситуаций.
