- Abstract:
- This article explores the concept of the revolutionary in the theoretical and memoir writings of Pyotr Alekseevich Kropotkin (1842–1921), a prominent Russian thinker, anarchist, geographer, and public figure. Using a historical and philosophical approach, this article analyzes Kropotkin's key texts, which shape the image of the ideal revolutionary as a champion of mutual aid, scientific rationalism, and direct action. Particular attention is paid to the connection of his theoretical constructs with the specific historical context of the revolutionary movement in Russia and Europe in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It is demonstrated that in Kropotkin's works, the revolutionary emerges not only as a fighter against the state and capitalism but also as a creator of a new social organization based on the principles of federalism and voluntary cooperation.
