    Abstract:
    The profound transformations in the financial sector carried out within the framework of the fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism have affected all countries of the world, every bank, every financial organization. Approaches to assessing the prospects of new financial products have changed, mechanisms have appeared to restrict access to the global financial system not only for the largest banks, but also for entire countries. Taking into account the scale of transformations and the depth of their impact not only on finance, but also on the economy and public relations in general, it is necessary to determine the directions in which financial science could become a benchmark for effective development. The paper substantiates the development of research methods for assessing the scale of money laundering.

    Abstract:
    The article emphasizes that the fight against extremism and terrorism, as a complex problem, has become one of the priorities in the fight against crime for states at the global and regional levels. The level of development of legal acts in the field of countering extremism and terrorism, the severity of punishment for crimes of extremist and terrorist orientation in some countries are analyzed. It is concluded that in modern legislation of different countries, there is no single approach to the definition of the concepts of "terrorism" and "extremism", there is no uniform approach to the system and types of punishments. The proposal on the expediency of a uniform definition of the concepts: “terrorism”, “terrorist”, “international terrorist activity”, unification of national legislation in the field of combating extremism and terrorism as a factor of international security is substantiated

    В данной работе излагаются основные вехи становления и развития Нижегородской академии МВД России – единственного вуза системы Министерства внутренних дел по подготовке квалифицированных кадров для подразделений экономической безопасности и противодействия коррупции. Статья описывает долгий и сложный путь, который прошла академия, начиная с 1928 года, когда была создана школа НКВД для младшего начсостава милиции. Автор отмечает, что сейчас академия представляет собой высшее учебное заведение, в котором за период обучения курсанты и слушатели получают фундаментальную юридическую, экономическую и специальную подготовку, при этом некоторые учебные дисциплины в вузе являются уникальными.
