- Abstract:
- The present study reports the results of quantitative determination of strontium in leaf samples of greater burdock (Arctium lappa L.) collected in the Chuvash Republic. The content of the target element was determined using X‑ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF) with a Shimadzu EDX 7000 spectrometer, combined with the standard addition method. The strontium levels in the medicinal plant material were found to exceed the established regulatory limits by several times, indicating a potential environmental load on the collection area and underscoring the need to implement systematic quality control of herbal raw materials. The study demonstrates the efficiency and reproducibility of the XRF method for non‑destructive, rapid analysis of the elemental composition of plant matrices.

- Abstract:
- The paper presents the results of a study examining the practices of using medicinal plants (chamomile, wormwood, dog rose, and hawthorn) among the population of the Chuvash Republic, as well as an assessment of respondents’ attitudes towards the independent harvesting of herbal raw materials and towards pharmaceutical forms. The aim of the study was to test the hypothesis that there is a high level of public trust in the healing properties of traditional medicinal plants and to identify the reasons for preferring purchased raw materials over self‑collected ones. The empirical part included an analysis of scientific literature, a sociological survey (n = 28), and the systematisation of data on the pharmacological properties, chemical composition of the plants, and safe practices for working with herbal raw materials. The results showed that chamomile is the most sought‑after plant (39 % of respondents), while more than 70 % of the surveyed individuals prefer pharmaceutical‑grade raw

- Abstract:
- At the present stage of the agro-industrial complex development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, raw materials play a key role. The lack of raw materials is especially acute problem for enterprises that process agricultural products. The problem of providing raw materials to enterprises of the Kostanay region that process livestock products is studied at the article. The development of agricultural cooperation in the Kostanay region is one of the factors of food independence and security of the region. At the same time, the existing mechanism for the formation and functioning of agricultural cooperatives does not fully provide a solution to this problem. The model of «anchored agricultural cooperation» is proposed as a tool to ensure a stable raw material base for processers. This model provides for the partnership of small peasant (farm) holding, individual entrepreneurs with a large anchor producer or processor.
