    Abstract:
    The study suggests ways to solve the problem of training students who have mastered the methods of scientific cognition, which is relevant for modern education. The methodology of organizing cognitive activity of students in conducting physical research on the basis of a school Quantorium is described. The thematic planning of classes according to the program «Digital Laboratory of Physics. ExperimentariUm», the implementation of which is aimed at the formation of skills in the experimental study of physical phenomena of different nature, the establishment of scientific facts about the type of dependence between physical quantities, the «discovery» of physical laws. The possibilities of using digital equipment in physics for organizing research activities have been identified. An example of a master class on the experimental study of pressure inside a liquid is given.

    Abstract:
    The chapter describes ways to form research skills and create students' cognitive interest in the study of physics. The possibilities of using home-made equipment in physics for the organization of research activities are revealed. Examples of home-made devices used to study mechanical, light and electrical phenomena are given. Devices mounted from the simplest available materials are described, which allow organizing research on the study of physical phenomena, establishing scientific facts and discovering physical laws.

    Abstract:
    The relevance of the study of the topic “Electromagnetic phenomena” lies in the widespread implementation of this scientific direction in various spheres of human activity. A content analysis of the various authors’ textbooks, historical background, theoretical and practical components necessary for studying electromagnetic phenomena in physics by pupils of 8–9 grades are defined. The possibilities of education material for formation of scientific worldview and development of physical thinking in schoolchildren are considered. There are intersubject and intrasubject communications of education material with other topics (in physics) and disciplines.
