- Abstract:
- The chapter is devoted to the formation of stable motivational guidelines among fire service employees in the process of their professional training. The psychological aspects of motivation, risk factors for emotional exhaustion, and methods for improving the effectiveness of rescuers are considered. Special attention is paid to the importance of setting clear goals, developing professional competencies, and fostering a sense of teamwork and mutual assistance. Recommendations are given on creating conditions conducive to the development of personal qualities necessary for successfully overcoming stressful situations and high readiness for emergency response. The necessity of regular psychological support and support for firefighters is substantiated in order to prevent the negative effects of prolonged exposure to extreme labor factors. The mechanisms of maintaining a high level of personal responsibility and awareness of the importance of the mission of saving the life and health of the population are being investigated.

- Abstract:
- The article examines the features of self-regulation of educational activity in senior adolescents depending on their level of reflexivity. At the first stage, reflexivity levels were determined in 257 students of grades 10–11 and 1–2-year medical college students using the reflexivity questionnaire by A.V. Karpov and V.V. Ponomareva and the differential reflexivity test by D.A. Leontiev and E.N. Osin. At the second stage, the features of self-regulation among adolescents with different levels of reflexivity were studied using the questionnaire "Style of Self-Regulation of Academic Activity – SSUD-M" by V.I. Morosanova. The results showed a predominance of the average level of reflexivity, a complete absence of a high level, and a significant proportion of adolescents with low reflexivity. Statistically significant differences in indicators of systemic reflection and introspection between groups with low and average reflexivity were revealed. Adolescents with an average reflexivity level demonstrated higher rates of planning, programming, evaluation of results, responsibility and independence in educational activities compared to peers with low reflexivity. The obtained data confirm the importance of reflection as a psychological mechanism contributing to successful self-regulation of educational activity and emphasize the need for targeted psychological and pedagogical work aimed at developing reflexive abilities of senior adolescents in the educational process.

- Abstract:
- In recent years, we have seen the pace of development of artificial intelligence (AI) increase. AI-based tools are increasingly embedded in professional activities, and people need to adapt to these changes. We've been talking about information overload for decades, and now the environment is even more stressful. Difficulties in maintaining concentration for long periods of time, conscious action, self-organisation and self-regulation are already being experienced in adolescents. The text analyses how AI affects the pace of life, and the problems this causes. Tools for coping are offered, with a focus on coaching as a solution to current challenges. Limitations and opportunities are critically examined through cognitive psychology and research on other approaches. Alternative solutions that take into account the limitations of the tool and its impact on resilience are also mentioned. The article is aimed at a wide audience interested in the impact of AI on human adaptive capacity.

The relationship between emotional intelligence and negative mental states of students
Research Article
Development of education Volume 8 No 1- Authors:

- Abstract:
- The period of study at a higher education institution is accompanied by significant cognitive and emotional stresses associated with academic requirements, social adaptation and professional self-determination. These factors create prerequisites for the occurrence of stressful situations and the intensification of negative mental states such as anxiety, frustration, aggressiveness and rigidity. Under conditions of chronic stress, these conditions can develop into maladaptive behaviors, reducing academic motivation and worsening students' overall mental health. The article examines the relationship between the level of emotional intelligence, previously differentiated on the basis of the analysis into three groups (high, medium and low levels), and the severity of negative mental states, including situational and personal anxiety, frustration, aggressiveness and rigidity, which made it possible to identify the features of their mutual influence in the student sample. The data allow us to conclude that the level of emotional intelligence has a moderating effect on the intensity of experiencing negative mental states among students, where a high level of emotional intelligence contributes to a decrease in the severity of all negative states studied, while a low level of emotional intelligence is associated with their intensification. It is concluded that it is necessary to include emotional intelligence development programs in the educational process in order to increase the psychological stability of students and their adaptation to learning conditions.

Self-regulation of personal behavior in situations of normative uncertainty
Book Chapter
Pedagogy and Psychology as Sciences for the Formation of the Potential of Modern Society- Authors:
- Aleksandr D. Pokhilko, Oleg A. Kazachenko
- Work direction:
- Глава 8
- Abstract:
- The chapter analyzes the concept of self-regulation, which is often found in various literature and has a large number of interpretations. In particular, psychological self-regulation of consciousness and the corresponding behavior of an individual in conditions of uncertainty is of particular interest. The existence of a person, his material well-being, health and even the life of a person depend on how he can cope with uncertainty and instability. The methodological principle for considering this problem is the principle of dialectical determinism. The result of considering the topic is the identification of its own approach to the study of self-regulation of personality behavior, which allows normalizing its mental state in conditions of uncertainty. The problems of studying self-regulation of personality behavior in the authors are closely related to social problems, and this connection can be designated as «normative determination». Depending on the type of personality, it will react differently to a situation of uncertainty in the absence of clear socio-cultural norms. Moreover, a person can nihilistically reject norms. A scheme of a categorical model for studying the behavior of an individual in a situation of normative uncertainty is proposed.

- Глава 4
- Abstract:
- The study is devoted to the analysis of the relationship between the motives of learning, measured by two methods based on different theoretical approaches, with the main regulatory processes (planning, modeling, programming, evaluation of results) and regulatory and personal properties (flexibility, independence), as well as with students' self-reports on academic performance. The study used the following methods: «Diagnostics of students' learning motivation» (Badmaeva, 2004), «Scales of academic motivation» (Gordeeva, Sychev, Osin, 2014), «Style of self-regulation of behavior – SSP-98» (Morosanova, 2000) and self-report of students on their academic performance over the past semesters. The study was conducted using an online survey in a Google form on a sample of 82 university students aged 18–29 years. Correlation analysis (according to Spearman) and factor analysis (with Varimax rotation) were used in data processing. The results of the study: multiple significant correlations of learning motives, measured by two different methods «Diagnostics of student learning motivation» and «Scales of academic motivation», with scales of the SSP-98 methodology were obtained; significant positive correlations of learning motives with self-report on academic performance allow us to analyze the types of students' activities that include learning activities, that requires the use of already developed educational technologies and the development of new ones in the educational process at the university.

Analysis of the results of the research showed that metacognitive competent students have a high level of development of the self-regulation system and regulatory properties of personality. The author outlines that among the stylistic features of self-regulation of metacognitive competent students are high level of independence and flexibility, the predominance of orientation to achieve success, activity in setting goals, etc. It is concluded that the results obtained can be used to determine the directions for further study of the relationship between metaprocesses and self-regulation, and the development of programs for the development of self-regulation of students' educational activities.
