- Cinema, as one of the most influential forms of art, has a significant impact on the formation of human perception, emotional state and behavior. This article examines the phenomenon of the cinematic image as a complex artistic structure capable of performing not only an aesthetic, but also a psychocorrectional function. The research is aimed at identifying the mechanisms of the impact of cinematic images on the psychoemotional state of the viewer and analyzing their potential use in the framework of psychotherapeutic practice.

- Abstract:
- The period of student life makes great demands on young people who are not yet always ready for psychological stresses, changed stereotype and lifestyle associated with higher education. Therefore, it is important to study various features of the psychological status of students taking into account the nature of the future profession. The study of a number of psychological characteristics among undergraduate nursing students showed that 55.6% of them had an average level of empathy. Type B stress tolerance (corresponding to optimal) was noted in 38.3% of the students. Self-esteem was adequate only in 16.7% of cases. The majority (73.2%) of students had a high level of tension of psychological defense.

- The article is devoted to the study of empathy at the student age. The urgency of studying this phenomenon is indicated. The concepts of «emotional culture» and «empathy» in modern psychology have been defined. The results of the study on the dominant level and its individual components in students of different specialties are presented and described. The features of the ability to empathize among students who were brought up in complete and incomplete families are highlighted.
