    В статье рассматривается ранний этап развития капиталистической кредитной системы в Вятской губернии. Подчеркивается, что как и повсюду в России в XIX – начале XX веков потребность представителей всех сословий в мелком кредите удовлетворялась на Вятской земле как средствами местных ростовщиков, так и вновь создаваемыми кредитными учреждениями.
