    Abstract:
    The article examines methodological approaches to developing social and everyday skills in students with severe multiple developmental disorders (SMDD). It describes an algorithm for integrating phases I–IV of the PECS protocol into daily routine activities (dressing, eating, hygiene). It is substantiated that the use of alternative communication tools makes it possible to transform everyday activities from a format of forced care into an interaction where the child acts as the initiator of contact with an adult, which is a key factor in their socialization. The effects of spatial and environmental adaptation and the reduction of undesirable behavior in a special education school are described.

    Abstract:
    В статье рассматривается проблема социокультурной интеграции подростков с ограниченными возможностями здоровья (ОВЗ) как важнейшего механизма формирования жизненной компетенции личности. Анализируются современные подходы к понятию «жизненная компетенция» в контексте социокультурной деятельности, раскрываются педагогические условия и технологии, способствующие успешной интеграции подростков с ОВЗ в общественную жизнь. Особое внимание уделено роли учреждений культуры, образовательных и волонтёрских практик в формировании у подростков с ОВЗ социальной активности, самостоятельности и способности к самореализации.

    Abstract:
    The article examines the problem of the role of family as a resource in the formation of life competence of adolescents with mental disorders. The relevance of the research problem is based on the need to develop life competence in children with mental disabilities, in particular with mental retardation. The materials of the article can be useful for students of higher education institutions in the preparation of programs aimed at the formation of life competence, as well as for special psychologists in the organization of this work with mentally retarded children and their families.
