    Abstract:
    This chapter considers relevant issues of risk calculations in the field of technosphere security. An enterprise which deals with the incineration of medical waste was taken as a basis, where for several years of its existence the problem of the disease of the operators of the incinerator installation with rosacea was identified. Hazard groupings by their types were performed, their parameters were determined, their risk levels were determined and a quantitative assessment of occupational risks was carried out according to the risk assessment matrix. As a result, according to the school of the integral indicator, the value of the individual occupational risk of the incinerator plant operators was established, which turned out to be high.

    Abstract:
    The article discusses the current state of the issue about identifying changes in water as a result of various physical influences. The paper provides a classification of indication methods, analyzes their main advantages and disadvantages, discusses the most commonly used indicators, and assesses the prospects of their further usage for water quality control. The necessary information for lecturing and practical trainings on the water chemistry is given.

    Abstract:
    The article highlights the methodological issues of physical self-purification mechanisms of water bodies; they are closely related to the problem of protection and multipurpose water resources utilization. Methods of enhancing the physical processes of water bodies’ self-purification are described and considered to be included in lectures in construction educational institutions. Radioactive, mechanical, electromagnetic, and thermal mechanisms are characterized in detail. According to the authors, knowing of the physical mechanisms of self-purification will decrease the depletion of water resources and reduce their pollution.
