- Abstract:
- In science, there are many cases when it is necessary to abandon complex research methods in favor of simpler ones. This is due to the need to take into account a much larger number of factors, the complexity of implementation and, as a result, restrictions on the use in some cases. For many years, the authors have been engaged in the development and application of expert technologies in economics, geoecology, geography, and optimal choice problems. From their experience, they came to the conclusion that more complex technologies are not always justified. In the article intended for young scientist and postgraduate students, using the example of calculating weight coefficients, it is shown that simpler methods can give results similar to complex methods. But at the same time, you need to understand in what cases it is possible to make such a replacement.
