  • Psychological and Pedagogical Support for Children Coping with Loss in the Islamic Tradition

    Abstract:
    This article analyzes methods of psychological and educational support for children grieving the loss of a loved one, within the context of Islamic values ​​and traditions. It examines age-related aspects of how death is perceived in Islam—ranging from the development of a basic sense of security in preschoolers to the comprehension of the concept of *Akhirah* (the afterlife) by adolescents. The article also describes the dual role of religious beliefs: on the one hand, fatalism (expressed in the phrase *Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un*) can facilitate the rapid acceptance of loss; on the other, it may lead to the suppression of natural emotions such as grief and anger, a situation requiring sensitive intervention by an educational psychologist.

    Abstract:
    The article considers a model of the process of forming family values in orphaned children and children left without parental care, raised in a substitute family. The paper analyzes the specific conditions of substitute parenthood (custody, foster family), which act as an environment for compensating for deprivation disorders of personality development. The author identifies the main components of the family values system and describes the stages of their formation: from the initial acquaintance with the lifestyle of a new family to the deep internalization (appropriation) of these attitudes as their own life guidelines. Special attention is paid to the need for pedagogical support for substitute parents themselves in order to prevent secondary abandonment of parenting and to harmonize child-parent relations

    Education of family values among orphans. Annotation: This article discusses the problem of spiritual and moral education of orphans in orphanages and boarding schools. This topic is very relevant, since we are talking about children from an early age who have seen a decline in morality - the manifestation of cruelty and violence on the part of parents, family breakdown, alcoholism, drug addiction, vagrancy, which contributes to the loss of the family function of transmitting significant cultural and life values to children, reducing the level of spiritual culture of most pupils.

    Abstract:
    The author analyzes the problem of social orphanhood on the examples of Russian films «Kuka» and «My Children». An attempt to present a socio-psychological portrait of the heroines is made. The article deals with the social and psychological problems of raising children left without parental care, and the support of the family institution by society and social workers. The problems of professionalism of social services' workers and the difficulties of families taking up a child from a social institution are raised.
