    Abstract:
    The article is devoted to the consideration of the commemorative function of monuments to home front workers, widows and children of the Great Patriotic War, erected in the Republic of Tatarstan at the beginning of the XXI century. Based on the analysis of the images and symbols of these memorial structures, the conclusion is made about the importance of this type of commemorative practices as a tool for preserving historical memory.

Этот опыт демонстрирует появление ряда новых форм работы в указанном направлении, имеющих широкие перспективы в ближайшем будущем.
