    Abstract:
    The analysis of methodological approaches to the organization of design and research activities of schoolchildren in the field of ecology using the methods of bryoindication and lichenoindication carried out. The normative bases of such activities in the context of modern Federal State Educational Standards, national projects and strategic documents of the Russian Federation emphasizing the importance of environmental education and the formation of research competencies are considered. The key problems of introducing bioindication methods into school practice identified: the pattern of research and the lack of age differentiation of methods. The need to develop ready-to-use methodological recommendations and protocols that will allow teachers to organize meaningful and consistent research work that contributes not only to the implementation of educational projects, but also to the real participation of schoolchildren in local environmental monitoring, the formation of an environmentally responsible, critically thinking personality.

    Abstract:
    Проанализированы основные источники и факторы воздействия железнодорожного транспорта на окружающую среду. Рассмотрены возможности использования живых организмов в качестве тест-объектов при оценке качества сточных вод, образующихся в результате деятельности железнодорожных предприятий и корректировке степени их очистки перед выпуском в природную среду. Методика применялась для предварительной оценки качества сточных вод предприятий железнодорожного транспорта. Выделены приоритетные направления профилактической токсикологии в оценке опасности химических веществ от предприятий железнодорожного транспорта.
