- Abstract:
- The article examines the transformation of organizational and methodological approaches to ensuring security at the Olympic Games in the period from 1972 to 1984. Based on the analysis of historical documents, parliamentary reports and scientific research, it is shown that the terrorist attack on the Munich Olympics (1972) became the starting point for the formation of a new model of organizing sports mega-events – the "Olympic fortress". Special attention is paid to the impact of these changes on the competition infrastructure, the psychological training of athletes, the work regulations of coaching staffs and the logistics of moving delegations. The conclusion is made about the need to integrate safety measures into the sports event management system as an integral element of modern methods of physical education and sports training.
