    The article is devoted to the consideration of the features of intercultural communication in the process of teaching a foreign language in a military university. It is no longer enough for a modern officer of the 21st century to be just an educated person. He should be a good professional in order to achieve the desired result. He needs to be able to find a common language with the interlocutor, to know his traditions, to be able to have a dialogue of cultures.
