    Abstract:
    The monograph presents and describes the national currencies of most countries of the world. The first chapter reveals the definitions of such concepts as: currency, types of currencies, convertibility of currencies, exchange rate and exchange rate parity. The role of the foreign exchange market as one of the financial institutions in the economy of the country is shown. The next six chapters are devoted to the peculiarities of the currencies of different countries, grouped by territoriality and belonging to one or another community or union. The monograph is recommended for schoolchildren, students of higher educational institutions and all those who are interested in national currencies of different countries of the world.

    Abstract:
    В статье изучаются билеты и монеты Банка России как универсальный актив государства, обеспечивающий упорядочивание экономического (гражданского) оборота товаров, работ и услуг. Согласно положениям специального Федерального закона «О Центральном банке Российской Федерации (Банке России)» билеты и монеты Банка России – это наличные деньги. С позиции гражданского законодательства наличные деньги (билеты и монеты Банка России) квалифицируются как вещи, т.е. являются объектами материального мира и обладают свойствами вещей. В процессе исследования функционального назначения наличных денег автор пришёл к выводу, что данные объекты выполняют следующие функции: 1) средство платежа; 2) свидетельство об эмиссии обязательств Банка России; 3) информационная; 4) количественного накопления.
