- Abstract:
- Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare connective tissue disorder characterized by vasculopathy, abnormal immune system activation with autoantibody production, and fibrosis development. This article reviews current therapeutic approaches for SSc, including the use of methotrexate, tofacitinib, and ziritaxestat. It discusses the role of interleukin-17 (IL-17) in disease pathogenesis and the potential of brodalumab, an IL-17 inhibitor, in reducing the modified Rodnan skin score (mRSS) and skin thickness. The study aims to systematically analyze the pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, and dermatological changes associated with SSc. Conclusions: Investigating the role of autoantibodies and cytokines in the pathogenesis of systemic sclerosis reveals the molecular mechanisms underlying fibrosis and chronic inflammation. Understanding these processes enables the development of therapeutic strategies, including the suppression of pro-inflammatory cytokines and blockade of autoantibodies.

- Abstract:
- The article describes the capabilities of the controlling system as a factor in managing the organization's activities. Using the example of the logistics industry, the advantages of using a balanced scorecard to develop an optimal strategy are revealed. The controlling system acts as a support for managing the enterprise's logistics activities, which ensures long-term sustainable development based on the tools for coordinating and integrating planning, accounting, analysis, control and regulation processes.

- Abstract:
- The chapter is devoted to the study of various, important, according to students, aspects and problems associated with admission to residency, and conditionally consists of two main parts – a review (performed as an introduction) and an experimental one. At the beginning of the chapter (review part), general data on the profession of a doctor are given, the most significant requirements for a medical student, which are necessary in his future work, are considered and summarized. Among the many individual aspects, the importance of having a well-developed intellect, communication skills and stress resistance is especially emphasized. Then, information is summarized on the general modern «problems» of admission to residency, which is a logical continuation of 6-year study at a university and allows you to gain knowledge in one of the «narrow» specialties. The second part of the article is presented by a scientific study, which included 200 students of the Voronezh State Medical University. N.N. Burdenko, divided into 2 groups of 100 people, depending on the course: 1 group – 3 course, 2 group – 6 course. After studying the gender and age composition of the subjects, the students were asked to answer a number of questions on a questionnaire specially developed by the authors – about overall satisfaction with the learning process at the university and its various aspects, including lectures, practical classes, readiness to continue studying in residency, etc. Then the level of stress of students of both groups was studied and analyzed – in the normal state, during the examination session and when discussing / thinking about entering the residency. The final, but most significant part of the study was the identification and subsequent study of the most important aspects / problems of a social and psychological nature that affect admission to residency, according to students. The determination of these points was carried out by the ranking method. The results obtained indicated the existence of an acute problem of admission to residency and may be of interest to all higher school teachers involved in the educational process of a medical university.

- Abstract:
- The chapter is devoted to an attempt to analyze the effectiveness of the introduction of digital technologies in the educational process of a medical university. This topic is very relevant, in view of the fact that at present the pandemic of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19 is still ongoing in the Russian Federation and around the world. Having started locally in China, in a short time the epidemic was able to grow to the size of a pandemic, «swallowing» almost all countries of the world. The governments of the countries began to develop and then implement various innovative methods of combating the unfavorable epidemic situation. One of these aspects was the transfer of the entire educational process to a distance channel. However, the «first wave» of the pandemic was followed by the «second», then the «third», and so on. The educational process has been «stuck» in a remote format for a long time. At present, for many teachers of higher education and scientific researchers, it has become of interest to analyze the effectiveness of the use of modern digital technologies in the educational process, which was the purpose of this work. The objects of the study were 400 people, divided into 2 groups of 200. Group 1 included 200 students of the 3rd and 6th year, divided into 100 people, depending on the course of study. Group 2 included resident doctors, divided into subgroups depending on the profile of training (therapy or surgery). The study was based on an anonymous survey, the task of which was to determine the general attitude to distance and classical education, to identify all the negative and controversial aspects of distance learning, as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of distance learning itself and its effectiveness and expediency during an unfavorable epidemic situation. At the final stage, the subjects were asked to evaluate the prospect of introducing digital learning elements into its traditional format. The data obtained are of great interest to teachers of the higher school of a medical university, students and residents involved in the educational process.

- Abstract:
- The chapter is devoted to the study of some aspects of the attitude of medical students to the stage of distance and «traditional» – full-time education. The relevance of the study is given by the fact that at present in Russia and around the world the pandemic of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19 has not yet ended, despite a significant decline in the past few months. The objects of the study were 400 people – men and women studying at the Voronezh State Medical University. N.N. Burdenko, divided into 2 groups of 200 people. Group 1 included 200 students, men and women of the 4th year of the medical faculty of VSMU. N.N. Burdenko, who, in fact, spent more than half of their total education at the university in distance learning (continuing partly from spring 2020 to spring 2022). Group 2 consisted of 200 people, men and women, 6 courses of the medical faculty of VSMU. N.N. Burdenko, who, in fact, spent more than half of their total education at the university in the «traditional» – full-time study mode (despite some periods of distance learning due to COVID-19). The study was based on an anonymous questionnaire specially developed by the authors, aimed at studying the gender and age composition of respondents, determining their academic performance, identifying a general attitude to the period of distance and traditional education, with an assessment of the effectiveness of each period (on a 10-point scale). Then, in the questionnaire, the subjects were asked to determine the positive and negative aspects of each stage of education (full-time or distance), as well as to «determine» the transition from distance to full-time learning again and to speak about a possible desire to return the distance learning period to a permanent basis in a comprehensive learning process in medical school. The data obtained are of particular interest not only for scientists and researchers involved in pedagogy and psychology, but also for all higher education teachers involved in the educational process in medical universities.
