- The chapter proves that in the conditions of communicatively oriented teaching of the Russian language, it is necessary to form in future language teachers knowledge about the main characteristics of situational modeling technology, about the specifics of its implementation in Russian language classes, and to develop the ability to analyze, design and conduct lessons using this technology. A special course is described aimed at developing competencies in students that allow them to effectively carry out communicatively oriented learning.

- The chapter justifies the need to work on speech etiquette in the Russian language classes. The course and content of the experiment are described, during which the method of teaching speech etiquette developed by the author was checked. It is proved that in the process of experienced learning, students have successfully mastered the minimum of speech theory necessary for conscious speech activity in the creation and perception of etiquette speech. There was a significant development of etiquette skills.
