- Abstract:
- Podcasting, a digital educational technology based on the use of authentic and educational podcasts, is described in this study as a way to enhance learning and increase student motivation. Considering the educational value of podcasting from the point of view of its integration into modern pedagogical paradigms, the author justifies podcasting in second language learning in non-linguistic higher educational institutions, highlighting the criteria for its effectiveness: accessibility and thematic diversity, usability, development of metacognitive and language skills. The chapter presents the results of a quasi-experiment involving 146 students that aimed to identify students' attitudes towards podcasts before and after their introduction into the educational process.
