    Abstract:
    The chapter reveals the content of the directions of state policy of the current period of transformation of higher education in relation to the priority branch of development of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). The essence of UAS as a cross-cutting technology in the system of scientific, technological and innovation-implementation activities of universities, research and production centers and RECs is revealed, the need for the development of innovative practices of personnel support programs for the emerging UAS industry is substantiated, the actual tasks of innovative development of universities are outlined.
