- The chapter deals with the problem of preparing children for school, understood as a vector of development of a preschool child involved in a certain learning situation. The content of the educational program is presented. The authors use data from empirical studies obtained using standardized methods [7; 19], which made it possible to determine the level of readiness of older preschool children to study at school. The results of the implementation of the author's program of the teacher of additional education are analyzed. The importance of the development of arbitrary behavior of children, arbitrary attention, cognitive interest in the beginning of school has been established. The importance of the game – the leading activity of a preschooler – in the process of developing classes is shown. The importance of creative activities in the development of the child is noted.
