- Abstract:
- The relevance of the study is due to the total trend towards digitalization in the Russian Federation, which covers a wide range of sectors of the national economy. The purpose of the study is to identify trends in the development of industrial ecosystems in the context of the total implementation of digital technologies and the need to ensure technological sovereignty. The theoretical and methodological basis of the study is empirical (expert assessments, study of production experience) and theoretical (system analysis, categorical analysis, comparison, generalization, decision-making) methods. The chapter discusses the main reasons for the transition to a new stage in the development of industry and the economy of the Russian Federation. The main advantages of digital industrial ecosystems are formulated. The tools that ensure the functioning of digital industrial ecosystems are described and examples of their successful implementation are given. Based on the analysis of publications of domestic scientists, strategies for the further development of digital industrial ecosystems are proposed.

- The creation of added value in early industrialized countries is currently defined by the transition to the fourth stage of industrialization, known as Industry 4.0. This development follows the third industrial revolution, which began in the early 1970s and relied on electronics and information technologies to achieve a high level of production automation. If information was the main element in the production function of post-industrial economies, then data is the key element in Industry 4.0. Industry 4.0 is characterized by the use of digital technologies, 'smart' concepts, ensuring continuous connectivity among all process participants, efficiency, and adherence to principles of sustainable development.

- The Fourth Industrial Revolution represents the latest transformation of means of production in the history of humanity. These innovations are built upon preceding technical progress, starting from the creation of the network itself, its evolution from static to social through the introduction of blogs, wikis, and web services, further enriching it with semantic data to facilitate inter-machine interaction, and culminating in its current state. This work provides an overview of the most interesting methods and approaches in applying artificial intelligence within Industry 4.0 to address the optimization of customer relationship management systems.
