  • Some Facts of Main Ethnic Groups’ Ceremonial-Game Traditions in Their Theatrical Aspect in the Chuvash Republic

    Abstract:
    The article presents facts about ceremonial-game traditions of main ethnic groups living in Chuvash Republic, such as Chuvash, Russian, Tatar, and Mordovian. The purpose of the research was the survey of ceremonies, customs and celebrations which are kept in the present time in Chuvashia. The research was focused solely on theatrical aspect of rites or ceremonies where a person uses dressing up, masks, makeup, and acts for Mummers' plays. Furthermore, the research aimed to identify the mutual cultural influence of the above mentioned ethnic groups on each other. The field study was conducted using the methods of interviewing, observation with video and audio recording. The data were gathered from all of Chuvash Republic districts. In conclusion, it was established that mummering traditions are being revived in some rural areas of Chuvashia; traditions of mummering have not been changed since the second half of the XIX century, but people created new characters, especially in the second half of the XX century; the content of ceremonial-game traditions is fully demonstrates the worldview, mentality and value system of the main ethnic groups presented in Chuvashia.

  • Business Simulation in the System of Preparation of MSc. Students

    Abstract:
    Difficulties and problems of business education are theoretically considered in the article. The advantages of traditional Western business education and the problems of young managers that are not ready for business activity in the environment of developing markets are highlighted. Methods of research. The author has examined the conditions of business education in Russia, its content and approaches to teaching. In the course of research, the author provides the idea that the solution to the problem of business education is based on innovation of the curriculum, implementation of interactive methods of teaching and creating the atmosphere of cross-cultural communication in the groups of MSc. students. Results of research. It is defined that setting up an innovative MSc. Program completely taught in English to multinational groups of students created cross-cultural environment in class. The curriculum has comprised the components of Russian and Western business school tracks. It is defined that the implementation of innovative methodological approaches to teaching based on modeling of manager’s professional activity is an indispensable educational means of creating the skills demanded. The author demonstrates the advantages of Markstrat simulation game in teaching marketing. It is proved that innovative business simulation helps to create the situation of authentic communication in the classroom, boosts teambuilding and provides practice of decision-making techniques. The author proves that the hypothesis of the article is correct and the way to solve the problem of business education is found.

    Abstract:
    The article is devoted to the issue of artistic and creative development of children in the implementation of musical and theatrical projects that contribute not only to their knowledge of the world through their own creative activities, but also to the development of their creative inclinations and talent. The methods and methodical approaches of musical and theatrical activity organization of children which allow to influence pedagogically effectively on development of their creative abilities are offered. Examples of musical and stage works for children, which have a huge developmental potential, are given.
