    Abstract:
    The article considers the features of the modern approach of historians of the republics of Central Asia to the problem of collaborationism. Studying the history of the Turkestan Legion, which operated during the Great Patriotic War as part of the Wehrmacht and SS units, turns into a dangerous revision of the basic provisions of the general military history of the post-Soviet republics.
