- The authors of the article focus on Agafiya Averkievna Fedotova, a home front worker, a participant in the construction of the Sursky defensive line in the Poretsky district, her memories of the life and work of the war years. The topic of the Fedotov family's contribution to the victory over the enemy is also touched upon: the brothers Averky and Anton, who went missing in the war, and the work of teenage children in the rear. The work is based on memoirs, video recordings, data from the Memory of the People database, and documents from the family archive.

- The article examines certain aspects of the labor activity of the city of Cheboksary during the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945. Based on the materials of the central organ of the periodical press of the region – the newspaper Krasnaya Chuvashia. The main groups of information characteristic for the formation of the image of the rear city of the Volga region during the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945 are highlighted.
